Save the Eucalyptus

The Town of Los Altos Hills has an ordinance mandating the removal of eucalyptus trees when a property changes hands. Sometimes this involves a beloved tree, as is the case for a tree on a property next-door to the home of Fas Mosleh. The new owner and Fas would like to save the tree. Would you be willing to help?

Click here to read, and, if you agree, sign the petition.

The petition will seek to have the ordinance rescinded. Next best outcome: to allow property owners to keep their trees if all parties involved are in agreement about keeping the tree. Or at least the petition may pave the way for saving trees on a case-by-case basis.

Fas is hoping to gather concerned residents at the next council meeting, May 15, 2014, at the Town Hall. Please come if you are concerned about the eucalyptus ordinance.

Email Fas with questions or comments.
